I think I have a mild form of OCD. Just maybe. I say this because when I really like something, I get obsessed. Mildly. Well, maybe a bit more than “mildly”.
For example, I really love old vintage stamps. Like, REALLY love them. Like, I collect them. I’ve got stamp collecting boxes and everything. They are all sorted by colour and by face value. (<— stamp collector term right there proves my nerdiness) But in my defense, I really only like the old art deco-ish looking ones. Those are cool. I’ve even got “a guy” who sends me a batch every Monday. His name is Arman and he lives in New York. If that’s even his real name…
Another example of my OCD is my love for architecture and cool buildings. (Mainly old buildings. If you don’t believe me, go read this Lost Ogle article. ) If you follow me on instagram, I posted a photo of a house recently. (It seriously is THE cutest house in America)
I stumbled upon said house about a year ago while taking a destination-less drive (and MAYBE I was also looking for cool big trash day finds). I tried to go back the next week to find it and take photos but I couldn’t remember where i’d seen it. I was devastated. And so I’ve been driving around aimlessly trying to find it again FOR A YEAR. But I eventually found it and all was right again.
So, now that you know I’m not lying when I say, “I’m obsessed”, and now that you know I need a new obsession, I present to you my latest ob-sesh. Rachel George. I came across this chair and fell in love. Not only with the mid-century vibe it’s got going on, but also the price point. Insane, right?
This chair would fit perfectly in my kitchen office that was just installed. I need a cute little chair like this that will tuck nicely into the desk area and still fit in with the gray/gold theme I’ve got going on.
